Nisarga Charitable Trust
was established in 2020
Nisarga Charitable Trust, Bangaluru, aims to provide accommodation, livelihood programs, & opportunities for income generation to the elderly so as to improve their socioeconomic standing in society.
Nisarga Charitable Trust was established in 2020, with a primary focus on the livelihood and empowerment of senior citizens. A pioneering senior citizen organization working towards the socioeconomic empowerment of senior citizens. The organization has a membership of over 1,000 volunteers working in the service of senior citizens in Bangalore.
At the national level, the NCT has consultative status with the National NGO Federation and observer status with the Federation. The organization works at the grassroots level to ensure that the benefits of old-age home facilities reach the real beneficiaries of society.
The livelihood of the elderly has been the primary focus of NCT since its inception. In this regard, the organization has launched several campaigns and programs, including food distribution and the full and short length of stay of the elderly in a “NISARGA OLD AGE HOME.”. Accommodation, Livelihood, Socio-Economic Programs, First Aid Services, Community Awareness Programs, Women’s Safety, Cleanliness Campaign, Climate Change and Environment, Communal Harmony and Peace, Gender Sensitization Programs for Youth, Life Skills Enhancement Programs for Adolescents, and Health Camps have been done by Nisarga Charitable Trust. Running senior citizen homes in Bangalore is also part of the activities of the Nisarga Charitable Trust. Currently, there are 35 elderly people in the old age home.
Vision
We envision building a 200 bed old age home for all the elderly, making their lives fulfilling and independent.
Mission
To achieve fundamental change in the lives of all older people by providing them services like accommodation, medical facilities, etc.
